CLOUD MIGRATION

Move to the cloud in the right sequence, not just the fastest one

Most cloud migration problems are created before the first workload moves. Undiscovered dependencies, applications that were never designed to run on shared infrastructure, and databases that require downtime the business cannot tolerate, these surface mid-project and create rework that costs more than the original discovery would have.

We start with a cloud readiness assessment that maps every workload, its dependencies, and its constraints before we propose a migration sequence. The sequence is the deliverable, which workloads move first, which get re-architected, and which stay on-premises because cloud is not the right answer for them.

A migration that lands on time and under budget is one where the planning happened before the first server was touched, not after the first problem appeared.

What's happening in Cloud Migration

0 %
of cloud migrations run over budget, most due to insufficient workload discovery before migration begins, not to technical complexity during it
0 %
of lift-and-shift migrations require re-architecture within 12 months, moving workloads without a modernisation plan defers cost rather than removing it
0 x
more expensive to fix a cloud architecture problem post-migration than to design it correctly at the planning stage before any workload moves
0 %
of companies that complete a cloud migration say they would do it in a different sequence if starting again, sequencing is the migration decision that matters most

What we offer

CLOUD READINESS ASSESSMENT

Know what you are moving and what it will cost before anything touches the cloud

We map every workload, its dependencies, its performance requirements, and its cost profile. The output is a migration sequence with a business case, not a lift-and-shift plan applied uniformly to everything you currently run on-premises.

CLOUD-NATIVE RE-ARCHITECTURE

Redesign for the cloud rather than carrying legacy constraints into it

Some workloads should not be lifted as-is. We identify where re-architecture delivers meaningful cost, performance, or reliability improvements and design a target architecture before migration begins, so the move and the modernisation happen together, not in separate projects.

HYBRID CLOUD SETUP

Connect cloud and on-premises environments that both need to keep running

Some workloads stay on-premises for compliance, latency, or operational reasons. We design the connectivity, identity, and security architecture that lets cloud and on-premises systems work as one environment rather than two that need to be managed separately.

LIFT & SHIFT MIGRATION

Move workloads to the cloud without re-engineering everything at once

For workloads where the priority is moving fast and the on-premises architecture is sound, we migrate with minimal change. We validate performance, configure cloud-native backup and monitoring, and hand over a documented environment your team can manage.

DATABASE MIGRATION

Move data with minimal downtime and no loss of integrity

Database migrations carry the highest risk in any cloud project. We plan the migration around your acceptable downtime window, validate integrity at every stage, and test failback before any production cutover, so the switch is a controlled operation, not a timed hope.

POST-MIGRATION OPTIMISATION

Reduce cloud spend and improve performance after the move is complete

Cloud cost grows without active management. After migration we analyse your usage patterns, identify waste, right-size instances, and configure reserved capacity for predictable workloads, delivering the cost model the business was expecting when migration was approved.

THE WEBIZONA DIFFERENCE

Why choose Webizona as your Cloud Migration company?

Discovery before movement

We map every workload, dependency, and constraint before proposing a migration sequence. The plan reflects what you actually run, not a generic cloud migration playbook.

Sequenced for risk

Migration sequence is a risk management decision. We order workloads so that failures in early phases are recoverable, and the most critical systems move last when we have the most operational experience with your cloud environment.

Cost modelled upfront

We produce a cloud cost model before migration begins so the business knows what it is committing to. Post-migration optimisation is included to deliver the economics that justified the investment.

Benefits

Common Questions

We use a risk and dependency mapping process. Workloads with complex dependencies or high business criticality move later, after we have operational experience with your cloud environment and the lower-risk migrations have validated our approach. The sequence is a deliberate decision, not a default.
Lift-and-shift moves the workload to the cloud with minimal changes, faster, lower initial cost, but it carries on-premises architecture constraints into the cloud. Re-architecture redesigns the workload for cloud-native services, more work upfront, but delivers better performance, reliability, and cost efficiency. We recommend which approach fits each workload based on its characteristics and your business priorities.
We use continuous replication to keep the cloud database synchronised with on-premises during the migration window, then cut over during a low-traffic period. For systems that cannot tolerate any downtime, we design an active-active configuration for the cutover period. Downtime window requirements are captured during discovery and the migration approach is designed around them.
We include a post-migration optimisation engagement that runs for 60 to 90 days after the final workload moves. We analyse actual usage patterns, right-size instances, identify idle resources, and configure reserved capacity for predictable workloads. The cloud cost model we produce before migration becomes the benchmark we optimise toward.
Not every workload belongs in the cloud. We assess each workload on its own merits, compliance requirements, latency sensitivity, cost comparison at your scale, and operational complexity. Where on-premises is the right answer, we say so and design the hybrid connectivity that lets cloud and on-premises systems work together cleanly.
Yes. We offer cloud operations retainers that include infrastructure monitoring, cost optimisation reviews, security patching, and a defined response SLA for production issues. Retainer terms are agreed at the start of the project.
