How We Built the SaaS Platform That Connects Entire Communities in One Place
A community engagement platform needed four connected surfaces built from scratch — website, admin panel, member portal, and mobile app — on a timeline that left no room for rework. We delivered all four.

The Challenge
Community administrators and HOA managers were running operations on email chains, spreadsheets, and outdated bulletin boards. There was no unified platform for event management, resident communication, resource allocation, payment tracking, and financial oversight — and every existing tool solved one problem while ignoring five others.
The founders of Residents came to us with a clear vision and no technical team. They needed a product that could handle multi-community tenancy from day one, serve three distinct user roles — admin, member, and resident — and launch with enough features to sign paying communities before the runway ran out.
The Solution
A multi-tenant SaaS platform spanning four surfaces — public website, admin panel, member portal, and React Native mobile app — all connected through a single data layer built on MongoDB and deployed on AWS.
Four Connected Surfaces
Designed and built a public website, admin panel, member web portal, and mobile app — each purpose-built for its audience, all drawing from the same database and real-time event layer without duplicating logic.
AI-Powered Engagement
Integrated an AI chatbot for instant member support and a broadcast engine for newsletters and event announcements that cut manual communication overhead while keeping every resident informed.
Scalable AWS Infrastructure
Architected on AWS with multi-community tenancy baked in from the start, so new communities could be onboarded in minutes and the platform could scale without re-engineering its core.
Paying communities live within the first month
Active resident accounts at launch
Reduction in manual communication overhead
Event types and community modules supported
ARR generated in the first operating quarter
